Custom car grilles. Top of the range stainless and brass mesh grilles
Fine Mesh Metals supplies a specially crimped mesh in brass and stainless steel 304 or 316. Crimped mesh was originally manufactured to be stronger than plain woven wire by the means of crimping the mesh in place. The result however is a strong attractive designer pattern that suits modified vehicle grilles, adding an aspect of class that other modifications cannot achieve. It is available in several patterns and wire thickness and has been used on several top of the range concept cars.
This is an example of a modified BMW. As you can see the appearance is dramatically improved.
This is a close up of the above grille which is 1.6mm thick wire 10mm hole.
Another example of a modified MGF who's uninspired square mesh has been replaced with one of our more refined grills.
This rally vehicle uses a thick 2.3 mm wire, again with a 10mm hole size to overcome the harsh conditions it endures.
The mesh is also available in a laquered brass as an option for classic cars.
Another example of a larger sized grille fitted to a custom car, which shows the materials strength over a larger area.
A further option would be to have a stainless steel round hole perforated grille. This is available in different hole sizes and pitch.
